At 1 HP (4.7 A / 230 VAC), the Flotide SS 100 is the top of the SS single-speed range and delivers a peak flow of 15.2 m³/h through 50 mm / 1½” connections — enough to turn over a typical domestic pool of 50–80 m³ in a comfortable filtration cycle. It arrives ready to plug in, supplied with a safety RCD differential plug and both metric and imperial glue-socket unions so it drops straight into either pipe standard without adaptors.

Hydraulic performance & pool sizing

The SS 100 reaches 15.2 m³/h at a shallow head, making it well suited to small and medium in-ground or large above-ground pools. The self-priming centrifugal design keeps suction reliable even when the pump sits slightly above water level, and the transparent pre-filter lid lets you check basket condition at a glance without opening the housing. Water temperature tolerance up to 40 °C means the pump works comfortably alongside a heat pump or solar heater.

Motor & corrosion resistance

The two-pole asynchronous motor carries Class B insulation and IP55 ingress protection, and both the shaft and mechanical seal are manufactured from stainless steel 316 — the marine-grade alloy that resists the elevated chloride levels found in salt-chlorinated pools. Built-in thermal overload protection cuts power automatically if the motor runs hot, reducing the risk of burnout during periods of restricted flow.

Mounting & electrical connection

Footprint dimensions of 552 mm (L) × 211 mm (W) × 340 mm (H) and a weight of 9.09 kg mean the pump fits most standard equipment bays. The supplied RCD plug provides residual-current protection at the socket, an important safety requirement for poolside installations under European low-voltage directives. For permanent hard-wired plant-room installations the pump should be connected via an approved, correctly rated contactor by a qualified electrician.
