Fix-A-Leak Pool & Spa Leak Sealer – 1 Litre
Fix-A-Leak Pool & Spa Leak Sealer – 1 Litre
Noticed your pool or spa losing water but can’t pinpoint the leak? Fix-A-Leak is the professional-grade liquid sealant that permanently seals small cracks, pinholes, and leaking fittings in pools and spas — without draining a drop of water. The concentrated formula circulates through your entire water and plumbing system, finds the leak, and builds a rock-hard, waterproof seal right where it’s needed. One 1-litre bottle treats pools up to 80,000 litres.
How Fix-A-Leak Works
Fix-A-Leak works on a unique emulsion principle similar to how blood clots. Once added to your circulating pool water, it travels through the full system. When the liquid reaches a leak point, microscopic particles are drawn toward the opening and stack up layer by layer, forming a compact, permanent plug. The formula can seal holes up to approximately 3 mm in diameter and is effective on pools losing up to 2.5 cm of water per day. After 24–48 hours of circulation the leak is typically sealed. Allow a further 48-hour curing period before switching back to normal filtration.
As a bonus, Fix-A-Leak coats all surfaces it contacts with a thin protective layer, slowing rust and corrosion in metal pipework and pump components — extending the life of your installation.
What Leaks Can Fix-A-Leak Seal?
Fix-A-Leak is designed for small, slow leaks that are difficult to locate or access. It works on:
- Small cracks and pinholes (up to 3 mm) in pool walls and floors
- Hairline cracks in concrete, plaster, or fibreglass gel coat
- Small pinholes in vinyl pool liners
- Leaking pipe joints, fittings, and connections
- Leaks around skimmers, return inlets, and fittings
- Leaks in filter housing and equipment connections
- Cracks and leaks in spas, hot tubs, and jacuzzis
Not suitable for: large tears in vinyl liners, major structural damage, or leaks on the suction side of the pump.
Step-by-Step Application Guide
Step 1 – Mark the waterline. Fill to normal level and mark the waterline clearly so you can track water loss during treatment.
Step 2 – Set your filter to recirculate. Fix-A-Leak must not pass through filter media — it will be trapped before reaching the leak. Set sand filters to “recirculate.” For cartridge or DE filters, remove the filter element completely and let water bypass through the empty housing.
Step 3 – Add Fix-A-Leak. Shake the bottle well. With the pump running, slowly pour the required amount into the skimmer or directly in front of a suction opening. Add it gradually for even distribution.
Step 4 – Keep it moving. Fix-A-Leak is denser than water and will settle if circulation stops. Stir the water manually every 4–6 hours, or run an automatic pool cleaner continuously to keep the product in suspension.
Step 5 – Monitor the water level. Check the waterline daily against your mark for 2–3 days. Most leaks show significant reduction within 24 hours and are fully sealed after 48 hours.
Step 6 – Allow to cure. Once leaking has stopped, allow 48 hours for the seal to fully harden. Then return filtration to normal mode and clean or replace the filter element.
