Bio-Pool C-line V3 Electrolysis Cell – 7 Plates (BIOV3-CL-E7PX1)
Bio-Pool C-line V3 Electrolysis Cell – 7 Plates (BIOV3-CL-E7PX1)
The BIOV3-CL-E7PX1 is the original 7-plate replacement electrolysis cell for the Bio-Pool® C-line V3 salt chlorinator system. Manufactured in Toulouse, France, by Bio-Pool®, this cell is designed as a direct drop-in replacement for worn or damaged C-line V3 cells, restoring your chlorinator to full factory performance without any modification.
How a Salt Electrolysis Cell Works
A salt electrolysis cell generates chlorine directly in the pool water by passing a low-voltage electrical current through titanium plates immersed in a salt-water solution. The dissolved salt (sodium chloride) is split into hypochlorous acid — the active disinfectant — which kills bacteria and algae before reverting harmlessly back to salt. The process is continuous, chemical-free and far gentler on swimmers’ eyes and skin than dosing with liquid or tablet chlorine.
C-line V3 Generation — What’s New
The V3 generation of the Bio-Pool C-line introduces a dedicated communication card built directly into the cell body. This card creates a digital link between the replacement cell and the V3 electrolyzer control unit, allowing the electrolyzer to automatically detect cell health, production capacity and operating hours. The result is precise auto-dosing, real-time diagnostics and predictive maintenance alerts — features that were not available on the earlier V2 generation.
7-Plate Configuration
With 7 titanium plates at 100 × 85 mm each, the BIOV3-CL-E7PX1 is suited to medium-to-large residential pools. More plates mean a greater active electrode surface area, which translates directly into higher hourly chlorine output. If your pool volume or bathing load has been pushing the 4- or 5-plate cell to its limits, upgrading to a 7-plate unit provides substantial headroom while keeping the same C-line V3 housing and electrolyzer.
Self-Cleaning Technology
Calcium scaling on electrode plates is the primary cause of reduced chlorine output and premature cell failure. The C-line V3 self-cleaning system periodically reverses the polarity of the current through the plates, causing calcium carbonate deposits to break off and dissolve back into the water. This extends plate life significantly and removes the need for manual acid-washing under normal operating conditions.
