This is the genuine AstralPool replacement diffuser assembly for the Viena Filter (SLX1800-20M). The diffuser sits at the top of the internal distribution system inside the filter tank, evenly spreading incoming water across the sand bed to ensure consistent, efficient filtration. It corresponds to position 19 in the official Fluidra exploded-view diagram for this filter.

Compatibility

Designed exclusively for the AstralPool Viena Filter model SLX1800-20M. This assembly is not interchangeable with diffusers from other Viena Filter variants or different filter families — always confirm your filter’s model number before ordering. If you own the SLX1600-20M, a separate diffuser assembly (CE04160087) is required.

Installation

Replacing the diffuser assembly requires draining the filter tank and removing the filter lid to access the internal distribution system. The assembly locates onto the central standpipe and should be seated firmly before reloading filter media. It is advisable to inspect the lateral arms and central pipe for wear at the same time. Reassemble the lid and gasket, then run a full backwash cycle before returning the filter to service.
