AstralPool - Skimmer Filter Base Ø1050 mm for Concrete Pools - SP-04-0456

AstralPool – skimmer filter base Ø1050 mm for concrete pools

The AstralPool Skimmer Filter Base Ø1050 mm is the primary housing component of AstralPool’s round-cover skimmer system, designed for permanent installation in concrete and gunite swimming pools. It forms the structural foundation of the skimmer assembly, housing the basket and connecting the pool’s surface water collection point to the filtration circuit. Built to AstralPool’s exacting standards, this base ensures a secure, watertight fit in the pool shell.

Compatibility

This filter base is specifically engineered for AstralPool’s Ø1050 mm round-cover skimmer range intended for concrete pools. It is a genuine OEM replacement or new-build component and is designed to work seamlessly with the corresponding AstralPool skimmer lid, basket, and throat plate from the same series. Always verify the diameter and series reference against your existing installation before ordering.

Why genuine matters

As a genuine AstralPool part manufactured by Fluidra, this filter base meets the dimensional tolerances and material specifications required for a long-lasting, code-compliant installation. Using an aftermarket base risks poor sealing, premature cracking under concrete pressure, and potential voiding of system warranties. Investing in the original component protects both the pool structure and the wider filtration system.

Installation

The filter base is designed to be set into the concrete pool shell during construction or major renovation, with plumbing connections made to the return pipework before the concrete is poured or rendered around it. Professional installation by a qualified pool builder or technician is strongly recommended to ensure correct depth, alignment, and a watertight seal with the pool shell.
