This is the genuine AstralPool Diffuser Support Set (D140) designed specifically for the AstralPool Vic Filter Ø1800 1½” 1.0M 2.5 Kg/Cm² (parent SKU 11528N). It is the structural assembly that holds the diffuser head securely in position at the top of the filter’s internal water distribution system. Identified as position 19 in the official Fluidra exploded view diagram, it is a precisely engineered OEM replacement part.

Function & Design

The diffuser support set locates and stabilises the diffuser head within the filter vessel, ensuring incoming water is spread evenly across the full surface area of the filter media. Correct support of the diffuser is critical to maintaining the designed freeboard — the gap between the diffuser head and the top sand layer — which promotes even water distribution during filtration and prevents sand from being disturbed or carried into the laterals during backwashing.
