AquaForte – Titanium Heat Exchanger for Heat Pump 5.5 kW (SC980)

This is the genuine OEM titanium heat exchanger for the AquaForte Full Inverter Heat Pump 5.5 kW (model SC980), corresponding to position 13 in the official exploded-view diagram. It is the core component responsible for transferring heat from the refrigerant circuit into your pool water, keeping your pool at the desired temperature efficiently and reliably. Replacing a worn or damaged heat exchanger with the correct genuine part ensures the unit continues to operate at its rated COP of up to 14.5.

Why Titanium?

Titanium is the material of choice for pool heat exchanger tubes because it is virtually impervious to corrosion from chlorinated and salt-treated water, and resists scale build-up across a wide range of pH values. Unlike copper or cupronickel alternatives, a titanium heat exchanger maintains its heat-transfer performance over many years of continuous use, significantly reducing the risk of leaks or premature failure caused by pool chemistry.

Compatibility

This heat exchanger is designed exclusively for the AquaForte Full Inverter Heat Pump 5.5 kW, parent SKU SC980. It is not interchangeable with other models in the SC range (SC981–SC985), which have higher heating capacities and different internal dimensions. Always verify the parent unit’s model number before ordering.

Installation

As an internal refrigerant-circuit component, replacement of the heat exchanger requires disconnecting refrigerant lines and draining the hydraulic circuit. This work must be carried out by a qualified pool heating technician or F-gas-certified engineer. Using the genuine AquaForte part ensures correct fitment and preserves any remaining warranty on the heat pump.
