Kripsol Koral / Mini Kapri K-FLO pump impeller

This is the OEM replacement impeller — also referred to as a turbine — for Kripsol’s K-FLO pump series, fitted to the Koral and Mini Kapri pool pump families. It sits at the heart of the pump’s hydraulic assembly, spinning at speed to draw water through the pre-filter and push it into the filtration circuit. When this component fails or wears, flow drops and the pump can no longer maintain adequate water turnover.

What this impeller does in the Koral and Mini Kapri

The impeller is a centrifugal rotor that converts motor torque into hydraulic flow. It draws water axially through the pump inlet and ejects it radially into the volute chamber, creating the pressure differential that circulates your pool water through the filter and back into the pool. The entire pump output — measured in m³/h — depends on the impeller spinning freely and without damage.

Which Koral models it fits

This impeller is matched to the Kripsol K-FLO hydraulic assembly used in the Koral and Mini Kapri pump families. The K-FLO series spans multiple power ratings; verify your pump’s HP rating against the part number before ordering, as each power variant uses a dimensionally distinct impeller. This specific SKU (500100070003) corresponds to one HP variant within the K-FLO range — consult your pump’s exploded-parts diagram to confirm the correct part for your model.

Signs it needs replacing

A worn or damaged impeller typically presents as a noticeable drop in flow rate despite the motor running normally, or as cavitation noise — a rattling or grinding sound from the pump head during operation. Visible symptoms include chipped or eroded vanes visible through the pre-filter housing, and in severe cases the pump loses prime entirely because it can no longer build suction. If the motor shaft spins freely but water output is reduced, the impeller is the first component to inspect.

How to install it

Remove the pre-filter lid and basket, then unbolt the pump body from the motor housing to expose the impeller. The impeller threads directly onto the motor shaft — turn anti-clockwise to release the old unit and clockwise to seat the replacement. Torque it hand-tight plus a quarter-turn; do not over-torque or you risk cracking the Noryl body. Reassemble the pump body, refit the basket and lid, re-prime, and check for leaks before returning the pump to service.

Why genuine Kripsol matters

The K-FLO impeller is precision-moulded in Noryl with a stainless-steel core insert; the vane geometry is specific to Kripsol’s hydraulic design and directly determines pump efficiency and noise level. An off-spec aftermarket impeller — even one that physically fits — will alter the hydraulic curve, potentially overstressing the motor and voiding any remaining pump warranty. The genuine Kripsol part is the only one manufactured and tested to the original hydraulic specification.
