This 500 ml tin of Griffon Uni-100 XT is a thixotropic, THF-free rigid PVC solvent cement rated to 16 bar (PN16) and suitable for pipe diameters up to 400 mm — making it the right choice for the full range of pool and spa pipework. The KIWA-certified, transparent formula is low in VOCs and noticeably lower in odour than conventional PVC cements, offering a safer working environment for installers without any compromise on bond strength.

Solvent-weld performance & gap-filling

Uni-100 XT bonds pipes, sockets, and fittings in both interference fit and loose fit (gap-filling) applications across pressure and drainage systems. Its thixotropic consistency means the cement flows into voids when the joint is pushed together, then thickens immediately to resist drips — a behaviour professional pipefitters rely on to minimise the risk of joint leakage. Chemical resistance of the cured joint is equal to that of PVC itself, and the cement is compatible with pipe systems conforming to EN 1329, 1452, 1453, 1455, and ISO 15493.

THF-free formula & KIWA certification

The XT designation marks a new generation of Griffon cement that eliminates tetrahydrofuran (THF) from the formulation, resulting in lower VOC emissions and a significantly milder odour compared with the standard Uni-100. KIWA certification confirms independent verification of the product’s quality and suitability, including for potable-water pipework. The transparent colour after cure keeps joints visually clean — important in plant rooms where inspections are routine.

Application & storage

The 500 ml bottle includes a brush integrated into the cap for fast, consistent application without the need for a separate tool. Surfaces should be cleaned and dried before cement is applied rapidly and evenly in the longitudinal direction; the joint must be assembled immediately and left undisturbed for at least 10 minutes. Store unopened packaging between +5 °C and +25 °C, and avoid application when ambient temperature is at or below +5 °C.
