This genuine Water-ID red plastic stirring rod is a colour-coded replacement accessory designed for use with the Water-ID PoolLab 2.0 photometer. It is used to vigorously crush and dissolve reagent tablets directly inside the measuring cuvette before a colorimetric pool water test, ensuring the tablet is fully mixed for an accurate photometric reading. At 10.5 cm, it is sized to reach comfortably into the PoolLab 2.0 cuvette chambers.

Why Colour-Coding Matters

The PoolLab 2.0 can measure up to three water parameters simultaneously across its triple-chamber cuvette. To prevent cross-contamination between chambers during parallel measurements, Water-ID supplies three differently coloured stirring rods — white, blue, and red — and recommends using a separate rod for each chamber. Losing or damaging the red rod means one chamber is no longer safely isolated, which can skew results; replacing it promptly restores best-practice testing hygiene.

Compatibiliteit

This rod is a genuine Water-ID accessory listed in the official PoolLab 2.0 accessories range (SKU POLSp-strR). It is intended for use with the Water-ID PoolLab 2.0 photometer only; it is not listed as a compatible accessory for the older PoolLab 1.0. Always use photometer-grade reagent tablets with the PoolLab 2.0 — rapid-grade tablets are not suitable and will produce incorrect results.

Wanneer vervangen?

Replace this stirring rod as soon as it is lost, cracked, or visibly contaminated with reagent residue that cannot be rinsed off. Water-ID recommends cleaning the rod after every measurement session; if staining or structural damage is present, swap it for a fresh genuine rod to maintain the integrity of your water analysis results.
