VGE Pro – Low Pressure UV System HDPE Control Monitor Plus 975-315
Engineered for high-demand commercial and public pool installations, the Control Monitor Plus 975-315 delivers a treatment capacity of up to 278 m³/h through an HDPE irradiation chamber driven by three 325 W low-pressure amalgam lamps (975 W total). The DN250 process connection and 6 bar maximum working pressure make it a natural fit for large-volume recirculation pipework, whilst the Control Monitor Plus panel provides full electronic lamp-power management with real-time UV output monitoring.
HDPE reactor & corrosion resistance
The irradiation chamber is moulded from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), a material that is inherently resistant to both corrosive water chemistry and aggressive UV-C radiation — an important advantage in pool environments where chlorinated or salt-electrolysis water is present. Unlike stainless-steel chambers, HDPE requires no passivation and will not pit or corrode over time, reducing long-term maintenance costs on large installations.
Lamp technology & service life
Three low-pressure amalgam UV-C lamps operate at a peak emission wavelength of 254 nm, the most effective wavelength for DNA disruption in bacteria, viruses, and other micro-organisms. Amalgam lamps maintain consistent output regardless of water temperature — an important factor for year-round pool operation — and carry a rated lamp life of 16,000 hours. The patented Smart Pin Technology (SPT) allows lamps to be replaced safely even when the chamber is under pressure and filled with water, eliminating the need to drain the system during routine servicing.
Control Monitor Plus panel & UV monitoring
The Control Monitor Plus control tier adds continuous UV-intensity monitoring via an optional UV-C sensor port and visual lamp-status indication on the chamber itself, so operators can verify disinfection performance at a glance. An optional water-temperature sensor input is also available. The electronic ballasts regulate lamp power precisely, extending lamp life and ensuring the rated UV dose is maintained throughout the lamp’s service cycle.
