Heat exchanger stainless steel 316 HF 28 male x female thread 1½”

With a secondary (pool-side) flow capacity of 300 litres per minute and a 1½” secondary connection, the HF 28 is engineered to serve large residential and commercial pools up to approximately 300 m³. The primary heating circuit handles up to 25 litres per minute at a working pressure of 30 bar, making it compatible with high-pressure boilers, heat pumps, and solar collector circuits alike. Its fully welded AISI 316 stainless-steel shell withstands the demands of chlorinated pool water over the long term.

Fabricated entirely from grade 316 stainless steel, the HF 28 offers excellent resistance to corrosion in chlorinated freshwater environments. At 407 mm in length with a 129 mm shell diameter, the unit is compact enough for a standard plant-room installation yet robust enough to carry a 30 bar primary-side pressure rating — well above the requirements of most domestic and commercial heating plant.

Primary & secondary circuit compatibility

The male-thread primary inlet and female-thread secondary connections suit direct integration into standard European pipework systems. The high secondary flow rate of 300 litres per minute ensures rapid heat transfer across the pool circuit, while the separate 8 bar secondary pressure rating accommodates typical pool-pump working pressures without risk of deformation or leakage. Chlorinators should always be installed downstream of the heat exchanger, with an anti-siphon device fitted, to protect the stainless-steel internals from concentrated chemical exposure.

Afmetingen en installatie

The HF 28 is suitable for integration with gas, oil, or propane boilers, geothermal heat pumps, and solar heating systems. For pools above the 300 m³ threshold, or saltwater installations with elevated chloride concentrations, a titanium-grade alternative should be considered. The unit should be fixed securely to a wall bracket to prevent vibration damage in service.
