Pentair UltraFlow Plus impeller 0.55 kW

This is the genuine Pentair OEM impeller for the 0.55 kW variant of the UltraFlow Plus pool pump. It is the rotating hydraulic component that draws water from the pool, accelerates it through centrifugal force, and pushes it through the filtration circuit. Without a serviceable impeller, the pump loses flow rate, fails to prime, or stops circulating water altogether.

The impeller sits directly on the motor shaft, spinning at mains frequency inside the diffuser housing. Its vane geometry is sized to the 0.55 kW motor’s torque curve, matching the pump’s rated flow of up to 14 m³/h at 8 m head. Fitting an impeller from a different power rating — even one that physically fits — will unload or overload the motor and compromise performance.

Replace this impeller when you find a sharp drop in flow rate despite a clean basket and open valves, visible cracking or chipping on the vanes, or contact marks on the diffuser bore caused by the impeller running out of true. Cavitation noise — a rattling or grinding from inside the pump head — often points to a damaged vane rather than air ingestion. Inspect the impeller lock screw and its O-ring (R39009900) at the same time; renew them together if worn.

Come installarlo

Isolate the pump from mains power and allow it to depressurise before opening the pump head. Remove the diffuser (shared with the 1.10 kW model, part R39005500), unscrew the impeller lock screw, and withdraw the impeller straight off the shaft. Fit the replacement by hand, torque the lock screw to the value given in the UltraFlow Plus installation manual, and refit the diffuser with a fresh diffuser seal (R39006600). Reassemble in reverse order and check for leaks on first start.
