With a usable storage capacity of 480 litres and a 3/4″ mains inlet paired to a 1″ delivery connection, the DAB Esytank 500 is engineered as the dedicated break tank for the Esybox and Esybox Mini 3 pressure-boosting systems. It stores mains water and releases it on demand, allowing the Esybox to deliver up to 120 l/min even where mains flow is slow or direct connection to the supply is not permitted. The tank is rated for a maximum liquid temperature of 40 °C and tolerates a mains supply pressure of up to 6 bar at the inlet.

Regulatory compliance & water separation

The Esytank 500 creates a complete hydraulic break between the municipal mains and the boosting pump, satisfying regulations that prohibit direct suction from the distribution network. Its integrated float valve and overflow system comply with UNI EN 1717 for the protection of potable water, preventing backflow and possible contamination of the mains supply. The tank is approved for drinking water throughout and is supplied in food-safe HDPE construction.

Installation & system integration

The tank ships complete with the E.Sydock docking station, suction pipe with foot valve, and delivery pipe, so it connects directly to an Esybox or Esybox Mini 3 with minimal additional pipework. Four base slots allow the unit to be fixed securely to the floor, and its dimensions are sized to pass through standard cellar doorways — making plant rooms, utility rooms, and basements all viable locations. For sites with greater demand, the modular design accepts auxiliary tanks on any of three sides, expanding storage without a full system replacement.

Capacity & modular expansion

The “500” designation refers to DAB’s product family; once float-valve, overflow, and inlet/outlet allowances are factored in, the working volume is 480 litres — sufficient for most domestic and light-commercial pressure-boosting applications. Where peak demand consistently exceeds this, additional Esytank units can be coupled together using the optional coupling kit, multiplying available storage without changing the pump configuration.
