Rated to a full 10 bar at DN65 (75 mm OD, 2½”), this Hydro-S Type 7500 butterfly valve is sized for high-flow commercial and public pool pipework where a compact quarter-turn shut-off is needed on a standard PN10 flange circuit. The PVC-U body and disc resist chlorinated water and common pool chemicals, while the EPDM liner maintains a reliable seal across a service temperature range of 0 °C to 40 °C.
Body construction & chemical resistance
The valve body is moulded from unplasticised PVC-U — inherently corrosion-proof and unaffected by the saline or chlorinated water found in swimming pool plant rooms. The glass-fibre-reinforced polypropylene (PP GF) housing adds structural rigidity around the flange faces, and the EPDM elastomer seat provides a bubble-tight shut-off that holds up well against pool treatment chemicals. The steel spindle is slender by design, keeping flow restriction to a minimum when the valve is fully open.
Flange interface & dimensional fit
Connecting via a standard PN10 bolt pattern with a 145 mm pitch-circle diameter (PCD) and a face-to-face length of just 46 mm (W-1), this valve slots into existing PN10 pipework without major rework. The overall installation radius of 207 mm (R) and a handle-sweep width of 115 mm (W-2) should be confirmed against available plant-room clearance before ordering. Counter-flanges, bolts, and gaskets are not supplied and should be ordered separately to match the mating pipework.
Lever operation & flow control
A blue lever handle gives fast quarter-turn on/off control — well suited to isolation duties on pump suctions, filter manifolds, or backwash circuits. The lever-operated Type 7500 is the manual variant within the Hydro-S butterfly valve range; for large plant rooms where frequent operation is required, a gearbox-operated sibling is available in the same size. The compact wafer-style body keeps dead volume low and simplifies installation between two flat-face flanges.
