Davey - Flow Switch for EcoSalt DES and PoolFresh Salt Chlorinators - 15712SP

Davey – Flow Switch for EcoSalt DES and PoolFresh Salt Chlorinators

The Davey 15712SP is a genuine OEM replacement flow switch designed for the Davey EcoSalt DES and PoolFresh salt water chlorination systems. It monitors water movement through the electrolytic cell and signals the controller to halt chlorine production whenever flow drops below the safe operating threshold — protecting both the cell and the pool hydraulics. This part is typically replaced when the chlorinator displays a persistent low-flow or no-flow alarm that cannot be resolved by cleaning or adjusting pump settings.

Kompatibilitás

This flow switch is the listed spare part for Davey EcoSalt DES series chlorinators (including DES2-15E, DES2-15EL, DES2-25E and related EcoSalt2 variants) as well as the Davey PoolFresh range (models PFD8CE and PFD20CE). It is confirmed as Davey part number 15712SP in the official installation and spare-parts documentation for both product families. Always verify your model number before ordering.

Miért fontos az eredetiség?

The flow switch is a critical safety component: it prevents the chlorinator from energising the cell when there is insufficient water flow, avoiding gas build-up and potential cell damage. Davey’s own documentation stresses that only genuine Davey replacement parts should be used to maintain correct system operation and preserve warranty coverage. A non-genuine or incorrect flow switch can trigger false alarms, allow unprotected dry running, or void your system warranty.

Telepítés

Before disconnecting the flow switch, ensure both the EcoSalt2 or PoolFresh power supply and the pool pump are switched off. The switch connects directly to the cell housing; periodically check that the paddle inside the switch moves freely, as a stuck paddle is a common cause of nuisance low-flow alarms. Electrical work must be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with local regulations.
