This 108 mm male Bauer ball × 102 mm hose-tail adaptor (type S77) gives pool installers and site engineers a robust, tool-free transition from a large-bore flexible hose directly into a standard Bauer quick-coupling system. The galvanised steel body is built to handle demanding water-transfer duties — including pool fill, backwash, and site dewatering — at operating pressures up to 20 bar.

Ball-and-socket coupling geometry

The S77 male part follows the classic Bauer ball-and-socket principle: insert the ball into the female socket and lock with the lever ring — no spanners, no loose hardware. The ball geometry permits up to 30° articulation in any direction without compromising the seal, which is particularly useful when routing large-bore hoses across uneven poolside or plant-room surfaces.

Galvanised steel construction

The fitting is manufactured from high-strength quality steel with an abrasion-resistant galvanised surface treatment, providing long-term corrosion resistance in wet environments. The coupling remains suction- and pressure-tight across all common pool and irrigation pumped media, making it equally suited to pump-discharge and suction-side connections.

Hose-tail end connection

The 102 mm hose-tail end accepts large-diameter flexible lay-flat or suction hoses directly, secured with a compatible hose clip or clamp (sold separately). This makes the S77 adaptor the correct interface piece whenever a fixed Bauer pipework network needs to terminate into a flexible hose run — for instance on a temporary bypass, a mobile pump set, or a seasonal backwash manifold.
