Waterco – Hydrostar Plus commercial pool pump 6″ × 4″ flange 7.5 kW 400V

Rated at 7.5 kW (10 HP) and drawing 14.6 A on a 400 VAC three-phase supply, the Hydrostar Plus delivers flow rates up to approximately 180 m³/hr — making it one of the most capable self-priming commercial pumps in the Waterco range. Its large 6-inch flange suction port and 4-inch flange discharge port are sized for the high-volume pipework found in public pools, aquatic centres, and water parks. At 75 kg this is an industrial-grade unit designed for permanent plant-room installation.

The pump body is injection-moulded from glass-reinforced thermoplastic — a seamless, one-piece shell with no welds, seams, or tank linings that could corrode or electrolyse over time. This construction gives the Hydrostar Plus superior mechanical and chemical resistance compared to traditional steel-cased pumps, while keeping weight lower than a cast-metal equivalent. The stainless-steel 431 shaft and Noryl impeller complement the corrosion-resistant architecture throughout the wetted path.

Hydraulic performance & self-priming

The enclosed glass-filled Noryl impeller spins at 2,940 RPM to generate the head required for large commercial circulation systems. The self-priming design reduces dependency on foot valves and simplifies commissioning, particularly in plant rooms where the pump sits above water level. The 6-inch suction flange minimises inlet velocity and cavitation risk even at peak flow demand.

Mounting & plant-room integration

Flanged inlet and outlet connections (6″ suction / 4″ discharge) align with standard commercial pipework and allow the unit to be bolted directly into an existing manifold without adaptor fittings. The clear polycarbonate strainer lid — where fitted — gives operators an instant view of the basket condition without opening the pot, and the ergonomic lid lock ring allows basket inspection without additional tools, reducing routine maintenance downtime.
