The HI3211T is an industrial platinum ORP (redox) electrode built for continuous in-line measurement in pool and process water treatment. It combines a platinum sensing element with a PTFE junction and a chemically resistant PEI body, and mounts via a standard PG13.5 threaded process connection. It belongs to the Hanna Instruments range of process electrodes used with panel-mounted controllers and dosing systems.

Para qué sirve

Designed for Hanna Instruments ORP controllers, transmitters and panel-mounted dosing systems that accept a standard process electrode. The PG13.5 thread is the common industrial standard, so the probe also fits most flow cells, immersion holders and in-line tees supplied with PG13.5 sockets. Confirm that your controller input matches the electrode’s cable and connector type before ordering.

Posición de instalación

Screw the electrode into a PG13.5 flow cell or in-line holder on the treated-water circulation loop, downstream of filtration and upstream of the chemical injection point. Keep the sensing tip permanently wetted and mount the body at an angle of at least 15 degrees above horizontal so the internal electrolyte stays in contact with the junction. Do not exceed 3 bar working pressure or operate outside the -5 to 80 °C range.

Vida útil

ORP electrodes are consumables: response slows and readings drift as the platinum surface films over and the PTFE junction clogs. In continuous pool duty expect roughly 12 to 24 months, depending on water chemistry, temperature and chlorine load. Replace the electrode when it can no longer be brought back into range with a 470 mV test solution after cleaning.

Notas sobre los pedidos

Supplied as a single electrode; flow cells, holders, cables and ORP test solution are ordered separately. The PTFE junction version is intended for dirty or scaling water where a ceramic junction would block quickly. Order a spare in advance if the installation cannot tolerate downtime during changeover.
