Rated to a full 16 bar working pressure and sized at DN40 (1½”), this spring-loaded ball check valve delivers a maximum flow capacity of 57.8 m³/h — making it well suited to high-demand pool plant rooms, commercial water-treatment circuits, and industrial fluid-handling systems where robust backflow prevention is required. The entire wetted flow path, including the body, housing, and spring, is manufactured from grade 316 stainless steel for long-term resistance to chlorinated water and aggressive media. With a temperature range of 0 °C to 90 °C, this valve covers both ambient pool-water and heated domestic installations without compromise.

All-316 Stainless Construction

Unlike carbon-steel or brass alternatives, every structural component — body, housing, and return spring — is grade 316 stainless steel, the alloy recognised for its superior resistance to chloride-induced corrosion. The NBR (nitrile rubber) ball and seal seat provide a reliable, drop-tight closure under backpressure while remaining compatible with water, pool chemicals, and a broad range of industrial fluids within the stated temperature envelope. Backflow Prevention & Installation

As a ball-type check valve, flow is permitted in one direction only; when forward pressure drops or reverses, the spring-loaded NBR ball seats firmly against the body, preventing backflow without manual intervention. The 1½” female BSP thread ends allow direct inline fitting to standard threaded pipework and pump outlets common in European pool and HVAC plant rooms. With a face-to-face length of 190 mm and a centre-to-top dimension of 99 mm, the valve can be planned into pipework layouts with confidence. The valve can be installed in horizontal or vertical flow-upward orientations.
