Hydro-S – Butterfly Valve PVC-U DN80 Flange PN10 10 bar – Type 7500

Rated to 10 bar at PN10 on a DN80 (90 mm) flanged connection, this Hydro-S Type 7500 butterfly valve is sized for high-volume pool plant rooms — main circulation lines, backwash manifolds, and bypass circuits where a compact quarter-turn shut-off is preferable to a full-bore ball valve. The PVC-U body and disc resist chlorinated and salt water without corrosion, while the EPDM seal delivers reliable bubble-tight closure across the 0 °C – 40 °C temperature range typical of outdoor and indoor pool installations.

Materials & Chemical Resistance

The valve body and disc are moulded in PVC-U for excellent resistance to pool chemicals, chlorine, and salt. The glass-fibre-reinforced polypropylene (PP GF) housing adds structural rigidity around the seat, while the EPDM elastomer seal maintains a secure, low-leakage closure against pool water and common disinfectants. The steel spindle is fully enclosed within the PVC-U body, preventing direct contact with the medium.

Lever Operation & Dimensions

A blue lever with multi-position locking detents allows quick quarter-turn on/off operation or incremental flow throttling without tools. The compact face-to-face length of just 48 mm (W-1) keeps the valve unobtrusive within tight plant-room pipework, and the 160 mm PCD bolt circle aligns with standard EN/DIN PN10 counter-flanges, making it straightforward to retrofit into existing flanged runs. Overall installed length (centre-to-face, Ct-1) is 183 mm.

At DN80, this valve is well suited to pool systems with high-flow circulation pumps — typically pools from roughly 100 m³ upwards — where 90 mm pipework is used to keep velocity and head loss under control. It installs between two PN10 counter-flanges with standard bolts and a flat-face gasket; no special tooling is required. For sites requiring remote or automated operation, the lever can be replaced with an actuator via the standard ISO mounting interface common to the Type 7500 series.
