Rated to a robust 64 bar and operating across a wide temperature range of −10 °C to +150 °C, this Profec 2-piece ball valve is built for demanding pool plant-room, heating, and industrial pipework installations. The 1¼” (DN32) female-threaded ports on both ends suit standard pipework in pool pump and filter circuits, heat pump connections, and chemical dosing systems where corrosion resistance is paramount. At 32 mm bore diameter, it delivers low-restriction flow with a simple quarter-turn of its stainless steel lever.

Corrosion resistance & materials

The body, ball, and lever are all manufactured from marine-grade stainless steel 316 — a molybdenum-enriched alloy that offers superior resistance to chloride-laden environments compared with standard 304 stainless or conventional brass. PTFE seats provide chemically inert, low-friction sealing that remains stable across the full rated temperature range, making this valve equally suited to saltwater pool systems, chemical dosing lines, and heated pool circuits.

Quarter-turn operation & connection

The lever-operated quarter-turn design allows rapid on/off isolation with no special tooling, while the compact 2-piece body — just 88.5 mm between face centres — keeps installation tidy in confined plant-room spaces. Both ports are machined as female BSP thread (1¼”) so the valve screws directly onto standard male-threaded pump flanges, filter manifolds, and heat pump connections without additional adaptors in most European pipework configurations.

Pressure & duty rating

At 64 bar working pressure this valve far exceeds the operating envelope of any pool circulation pump or heat pump, giving substantial safety margin and making it suitable for dual-purpose installations where the same plant room also handles pressurised water supply or compressed-media lines. The robust rating also means no derating is required even on systems running warm pool water up to 150 °C — for example, combined pool and spa or hydrotherapy circuits.
