At 194 mm on the Bauer side and 200 mm on the hose-tail side, this is one of the largest fittings in the S77 range — purpose-built for high-volume water transfer duties such as pool filling, dewatering, and large-scale irrigation pipework. The male Bauer ball end connects directly to any standard Bauer female socket, while the hose tail provides a secure barbed seat for large-bore layflat or suction hose.

Coupling mechanism & connection

The S77 type uses the proven Bauer ball-and-socket principle: insert the male ball end into the female socket and secure with the locking ring — no tools and no loose parts required. The design permits up to 30° of articulation at the joint, making it forgiving on site where pipework cannot always be perfectly aligned. A rubber seal (typically NR or SBR) completes the joint and keeps the connection pressure-tight and leak-resistant.
