Hayward AquaRite Plus NG salt chlorinator – 16 g/h
The AquaRite Plus NG makes its own chlorine from salt dissolved in the pool water, so there is nothing to dose by hand and no chlorine to store. It produces up to 16 g of chlorine per hour, enough for a pool of around 75 m³, and adjusts output anywhere between 0 and 100 %.
Where it differs from a plain chlorinator is the rest of the pool. The same 4.3″ touchscreen also drives your filtration pump (including variable speed), lighting and heating, plus four extra auxiliary relays your installer can assign to whatever else sits in the plant room.
Com funciona
Salt water flows through a transparent cell holding four titanium plates. A low-voltage current turns the dissolved salt into active chlorine, which disinfects the water and then reverts to salt — so the salt is not consumed, only topped up after backwashing or heavy rain. The cell cleans itself by reversing polarity, which keeps scale off the plates without dismantling anything.
The cell and the probe holder are both clear PVC, so you can see production happening and check the probes without opening the circuit.
Built to grow
The NG platform has a communication bus. Start with chlorination alone and add what you need later:
- pH control — BKPER-OPTION-PH (plastic probe) or BGKBPER (glass probe), with a 1.5 L/h peristaltic pump
- Redox / ORP — E-OPTION-REDOX or EG
- Temperature — T-OPTION-TEMP, which also unlocks smart filtration and heating control
- Free chlorine — H-OPTION-CL (amperometric) or H-OPTION-CL2 (membrane)
- Salinity — I-OPTION-SAL conductivity probe
- Remote access — RS4WI-OPTION-W (Wi-Fi) or RS4NET-OPTION-L (Ethernet), for the free Hayward Poolwatch app

Bé saber-ho
Installation needs 63 mm pipework and a minimum flow of 5 m³/h. Salt has to be added once to reach the working concentration — anywhere from 3 g/l, and the unit also handles sea water up to 100 g/l. The titanium cell is a wear part rated for 8,000 operating hours.
For a larger pool, the same unit exists as 22 g/h (100 m³), 33 g/h (150 m³) and 50 g/h (200 m³).
