Fluidra – Collector Arm Assembly 1″ 265 mm

This is a genuine Fluidra replacement collector arm assembly for the AstralPool Aster laminated sand filter range. The assembly sits at the base of the filter tank and is responsible for collecting filtered water from the sand bed and channelling it back to the pool — and for evenly distributing backwash water upward through the filter media. Replacing a cracked or worn set restores full filtration efficiency immediately.

Compatibility

This 265 mm arm assembly is designed for the AstralPool Aster Ø 900 mm laminated sand filter with a flow rate of 31,000 l/h and 2½” connections (valve-free version). The 1″ arm diameter and 265 mm arm length are key specifications — always confirm both figures against your existing laterals before ordering, as Fluidra offers several arm lengths to suit different tank diameters.

How it works

The laterals are made from injection-moulded glass-filled polypropylene and feature fine 0.3 mm slots distributed uniformly around the arm. These slots allow filtered water to pass through freely while retaining sand and debris, and during backwash they distribute water evenly across the entire filter bed to fully fluidise the media. The 1″ bore diameter delivers a larger open filtration area compared to smaller-diameter alternatives.
