This is the genuine Fluidra collector assembly with central support for the Volcano commercial sand filter series, covering tank diameters from 1050 mm up to 2000 mm. The collector — sometimes called a manifold or lateral arm assembly — sits at the bottom of the filter tank and distributes filtered water evenly through its lateral arms before it exits the vessel. The included support pipe holds the entire collector system securely in the correct position within the tank.

How it works

During normal filtration, pool water passes downward through the sand bed and is collected by the lateral arms of this assembly, which channel clean water into the central Ø140 mm collector pipe and out through the filter outlet. During backwash cycles the flow reverses, with the collector redistributing water upward through the sand bed to flush trapped debris to waste. A correctly seated collector assembly is essential for even flow distribution, preventing channelling through the filter media and maintaining filtration efficiency.

Compatibility

This assembly is designed exclusively for the Fluidra Volcano sand filter range with tank diameters from D.1050 to D.2000.
