The collector assembly sits at the base of the filter tank and comprises the central hub and slotted lateral arms that gather filtered water and direct it out of the tank, while ensuring thorough fluidisation of the sand bed during backwash cycles.

How it works

During normal filtration, pool water passes down through the sand bed and is collected by the slotted lateral arms before being channelled through the central hub and out via the 160 mm riser pipe. During backwash, flow is reversed through the same assembly, lifting and agitating the sand to flush trapped debris — making the integrity of this collector critical to both filtration efficiency and effective cleaning.
