Flow Detector

The Flow Detector is a flow safety device that prevents the Hayward chlorinator from producing chlorine when there is insufficient water flow through the cell. Without adequate flow, chlorine would concentrate in the cell housing and cause damage. The flow detector automatically stops chlorine production when the pump is switched off or the flow rate drops below the safe minimum.
