The Directional Skirt is a genuine OEM replacement component designed specifically for the Polaris Vac-Sweep 140 Automatic Pool Cleaner (model 28049). Working in conjunction with the surface disc, it guides the cleaner’s movement across the pool floor, ensuring consistent and thorough coverage. Over time this skirt can wear, warp, or crack, reducing steering effectiveness and leaving areas of the pool uncleaned.

This part is manufactured exclusively for the Polaris Vac-Sweep 140 Automatic Pool Cleaner (SKU 28049). It corresponds to position 15 in the official Fluidra exploded-view diagram. Always verify your cleaner’s model number before ordering, as this skirt is not interchangeable with other Polaris suction or pressure-side models.

As a genuine Polaris part sourced through Fluidra, this directional skirt is made to the exact material specification and geometry of the original — ensuring the correct flex, durability, and fit. Aftermarket alternatives can deviate in thickness or stiffness, causing erratic steering behaviour and premature wear on adjacent components.

The directional skirt is a straightforward field-replaceable part that requires no special tools. Remove the cleaner from the pool, detach the worn skirt from its retaining position, and clip or seat the new skirt in place following the Polaris 140 owner’s manual. We recommend inspecting the surface disc at the same time, as both components wear together and affect navigation performance.
