Rated at 130 W with a maximum flow rate of 22 m³/h and a UV dose of 30 mJ/cm², this Norsup Supernova Timer is sized for private pools up to 90 m³. It connects via 50/63 mm glue socket/glue spigot on one side and a 1½” female thread on the other, fitting neatly into most standard European filtration returns at up to 2 bar operating pressure. As the top-tier variant in the Supernova range, it combines a high-output Amalgam lamp with an integrated timer display — making it a practical upgrade for installers who want set-and-forget lamp-life management.

Unlike conventional UV-C lamps, the Amalgam lamp used in the Supernova Timer delivers a higher, more stable UV output that is not influenced by fluctuations in water temperature — ensuring consistent 30 mJ/cm² disinfection performance across all seasons. The UV-C radiation targets bacteria, viruses, algae, and other pathogens at a cellular level, neutralising them without producing harmful chemical by-products. Used alongside a residual disinfectant, this system can significantly reduce overall chemical consumption in the pool.

The defining feature of the Supernova Timer over the standard Supernova is its LED display, which continuously indicates the operational status of the Amalgam lamp. The built-in timer function tracks accumulated lamp hours so installers and pool owners always know precisely when a lamp replacement is due — eliminating guesswork and helping to maintain validated disinfection performance over the full service life of the unit.

With its duplex housing, the Supernova Timer is suitable for chlorine-based, salt-water, and bio pools alike. The dual-size 50/63 mm glue socket inlet and 1½” female threaded outlet give flexibility when integrating into existing pipework, while the 2 bar pressure rating is compatible with the circulation pumps typically found on residential installations up to 90 m³. Professional installation into the return line downstream of the filter is recommended.
