With a 400 mm internal diameter and a leg length (Cb) of 415 mm on both outlets, this is one of the largest metric PVC-U elbows in the Profec range — suited to high-volume water management pipework in commercial pool plant rooms, industrial circulation systems, and large-scale irrigation infrastructure. The solvent-weld glue socket connection delivers a permanent, leak-free joint rated to 10 bar working pressure, in line with EN-ISO 1452-3.

Moulded from unplasticised PVC (PVC-U), the fitting is inherently resistant to chlorinated pool water, common pool chemicals, and corrosion — with no metal parts to deteriorate over time. The grey colour is standard for metric pressure-grade PVC-U pipework, making it straightforward to identify on site and match to compatible Profec pipe and fittings throughout the same system.

Both sockets accept a standard 400 mm PVC-U pipe spigot and are dimensioned to EN-ISO 1452-3, ensuring consistent fit with metric pressure pipe from any compliant manufacturer. The glue-socket method creates a rigid, monolithic joint that is well suited to buried or concealed pipework where access for maintenance is limited. Professional installation with an appropriate PVC solvent cement is recommended at this bore size.

A 400 mm bore elbow is a major infrastructure component, typically found in main circulation headers for large commercial or public pools, water treatment plant pipework, pump station manifolds, and agricultural or industrial water distribution. At this diameter, the fitting demands careful alignment and adequate support of the adjoining pipework prior to and during bonding.
