The Bosta 50mm Water Connection Compression Socket is a purpose-built fitting designed to create a secure, leak-free connection between 50mm pool pipework and compatible pool equipment such as heat pumps. It consists of a compression nut that threads directly onto the equipment’s male threaded inlet, gripping the pipe firmly via an integrated rubber O-ring seal — no adhesive or specialist tools required.

This fitting is designed for use with standard 50mm (approximately 1.5″) pool pipe, including rigid ABS and semi-rigid pool pipe commonly used in European swimming pool installations. It is particularly well suited for connecting pipework to pool heat pumps and similar equipment featuring a 1.5″ male threaded water inlet port. Always verify your equipment’s inlet thread size and pipe outside diameter before ordering.

As a genuine Bosta part, this compression socket is manufactured to consistent dimensional tolerances, ensuring a reliable seal every time. Aftermarket alternatives may vary in thread pitch or O-ring compound, risking slow leaks or premature failure. Choosing the genuine Bosta fitting protects your equipment investment and avoids costly downtime.

Installation is straightforward: insert the 50mm pipe into the compression socket and tighten the nut onto the equipment’s male thread by hand before final tightening with a wrench. The rubber O-ring compresses around the pipe to form a watertight seal. No solvent cement is needed, making this fitting suitable for installations where future disassembly may be required.
