This is the genuine Maytronics grey impeller cover for the Dolphin M200 CLI CART. CB robotic pool cleaner, referenced under the DB3 motor/pump assembly. The impeller cover sits flush over the pump impeller housing, directing water flow efficiently through the suction circuit and shielding the rotating impeller blade from debris ingestion that could cause mechanical damage.

The impeller cover forms the top closure of the pump chamber. Its moulded profile — typically a tapering round disc with curved internal vanes — channels pool water through the impeller in a controlled path, maintaining consistent suction pressure. A worn, cracked, or dislodged cover disrupts this flow, leading to a measurable drop in filtration performance and, in severe cases, cavitation damage to the impeller itself.

This part is designed for and confirmed against the Maytronics Dolphin M200 CLI CART. CB platform. The M200 range shares its DB3 motor-unit architecture with closely related M-series variants; always verify against your robot’s serial number and internal part code before ordering to ensure an exact fit.

Replace this cover if you notice a significant reduction in suction, unusual rattling or vibration noise from the pump area during operation, visible cracks or chips around the cover rim, or if the cover no longer seats flush within the top cover assembly. Debris such as small stones can crack the housing even when the impeller itself survives intact.

Aftermarket impeller covers are frequently moulded to looser tolerances, which allows micro-gaps between the cover and the pump housing — gaps that bleed suction pressure and accelerate wear on the motor seals. A genuine Maytronics part is manufactured to the exact dimensional specification of the original, preserving the hydraulic efficiency and service life that Maytronics engineers designed into the M200.
