This is the genuine Davey replacement rear cover for Silensor SLS and SLL pool pumps in the current “-1” production series (manufactured from 2017 onwards). The rear cover seals the non-drive end of the motor, protecting the capacitor housing and internal wiring from moisture and environmental exposure. It is typically replaced during a motor service when the cover shows cracking, warping, or seal degradation.

This part fits Davey Silensor SLS and SLL pump models ending in “-1” (post-2017 production), including single-phase variants across the SLS and SLL size ranges. It is not compatible with older “-0” series pumps. To confirm your series, check the model number on the data label affixed to the rear of your pump.

The rear cover must form a reliable, weatherproof seal against the motor casing to protect internal electrical components including the capacitor. A genuine Davey part ensures correct dimensional fit and material integrity, maintaining the pump’s IP rating and preserving your warranty. Third-party alternatives may not achieve the precise tolerance required for the Silensor’s water-cooled motor architecture.

The rear cover is secured by a single bolt and removed using a 13mm ring spanner. Always inspect the internal gasket during removal and replace it if damaged. Note that access to the capacitor is gained once the cover is removed — handle capacitors with care and note all wiring connections before disconnecting. This service work should only be carried out by a qualified technician.
