Water-ID – Filter Holder for 25 mm Filter Papers (PLSp-InjFil-1 Compatible)

The Water-ID PLSp-Filtad1 is a genuine replacement filter holder designed to attach directly to the PLSp-InjFil-1 Luer lock syringe accessory. It secures a 25 mm disc filter paper in place so that water samples can be pushed through the membrane before photometric analysis, removing suspended particles that would otherwise distort readings. Made by Water-i.d. GmbH in Germany, it is built to the same precision tolerances as the rest of the PoolLab 2.0 accessory ecosystem.

Compatibility

This filter holder is designed exclusively for use with the Water-ID PoolLab 2.0 photometer system — it is not compatible with the older PoolLab 1.0. It mates with the PLSp-InjFil-1 20 ml Luer lock syringe (sold separately) and accepts standard 25 mm disc filter papers, including 0.45 micron membrane filters and GF/C glass fibre papers (also available separately from Water-ID).

Why Filtering Matters

Turbid or particle-laden water samples can scatter the light beam inside the photometer, causing inaccurate concentration readings across parameters such as turbidity, colour, iron, manganese and more. By passing the sample through a 25 mm filter membrane prior to measurement, the PLSp-Filtad1 ensures that only optically clear water enters the cuvette, protecting measurement integrity and prolonging cuvette life.

When to Replace

The filter holder itself is a durable reusable component; replace it if it shows cracks, deformation, or if the Luer lock connection no longer seals securely against the syringe. Filter papers (sold separately in cans of 50) should be replaced with every new sample to prevent cross-contamination and blockage. Keep a stock of compatible 25 mm filter papers alongside this holder for uninterrupted field testing.
