Galvanised Steel Foot Valve with 50 mm Hose Tail – 2 Inch
This heavy-duty foot valve is manufactured from hot-dip galvanised steel, making it highly resistant to corrosion in demanding irrigation, dewatering, and water-supply installations. Fitted at the bottom of a suction line, the valve prevents back-flow when the pump stops, maintaining the prime and protecting the pump from dry running. The integrated cylindrical strainer cage with elongated slots keeps debris from entering the suction line while allowing a rated flow of 12 m³/h.
The top connection is a 50 mm barbed hose tail sized for standard 2-inch suction hose, secured with a hose clamp (not included). The flanged body mid-section houses an NBR rubber disc seal that closes reliably under reverse pressure and reopens with minimal head loss during pumping. A small locking tab on the strainer cage simplifies assembly and prevents the cage from rotating during installation. The all-metal construction withstands rough handling on irrigation fields, construction sites, and greenhouse pump pits.

Compatibility
Designed for use with standard 2-inch (50 mm internal diameter) lay-flat or rigid suction hose secured with a standard hose clamp. Suitable for clear water, irrigation water, and mildly contaminated dewatering applications where the fluid is compatible with galvanised steel and NBR. Not recommended for chemically aggressive fluids, salt water, or potable drinking-water systems without verifying local regulations on galvanised steel use.
