Profec Type 601 DN65 Ductile Iron Butterfly Valve with Lever Handle

The Profec Type 601 is a wafer-style butterfly valve engineered for reliable isolation and flow control in industrial pipework, pool plant rooms, irrigation mains, and greenhouse heating circuits. The body is cast from ductile iron GGG40 and finished with a durable epoxy coating in blue, providing strong resistance to corrosion in both above-ground and below-ground installations. The stainless steel 316 disc delivers outstanding resistance to chlorinated water and mildly aggressive media, while the full EPDM lining seals across the entire pressure range without requiring a separate gasket between flanges.

Designed to DIN 2501, the valve sandwiches between PN6, PN10, or PN16 flanges, making it a versatile drop-in replacement or new-build component across the most common European flange standards. The 90-degree lever lockout handle — manufactured from black malleable cast iron — allows fast quarter-turn operation and can be padlocked in the open or closed position for safety compliance. The stem assembly uses stainless steel 304 for the upper shaft, keeping weight low while maintaining corrosion resistance at the packing gland.

Compatibilitate

This valve is compatible with DIN 2501 flanged pipework at PN6, PN10, and PN16 pressure classes in DN65. It is suitable for use with water, pool-treatment water (chlorinated), irrigation supply lines, and heating or cooling circuits within the stated temperature range of 0 °C to 90 °C. The EPDM lining is compatible with water and many aqueous solutions; it is not recommended for hydrocarbon-based fluids or solvents. The ISO 5211 top flange on the stem accommodates actuator mounting if automated operation is required in the future.
