Profec Type 601 Butterfly Valve DN125 — Ductile Iron GGG40 with Epoxy Coating, Stainless Steel 316 Disc, Lever Operated
This heavy-duty wafer-style butterfly valve is built around a ductile iron GGG40 body finished with a protective epoxy coating, making it well suited to demanding water, irrigation, and pool plant pipework. At DN125 (nominal bore 125 mm), it handles significant flow volumes while remaining compact in face-to-face dimension. The stainless steel 316 disc seats against a full-bore EPDM liner, delivering a bubble-tight shut-off across the rated pressure range. A lockable malleable cast iron lever locks the disc at any position between fully open and fully closed, giving precise flow control without additional actuator cost.
Flange drilling conforms to DIN 2501 PN6/10/16, so the valve drops directly between standard steel, cast iron, or PVC flanges without adapter spools. The EPDM liner also acts as the flange gasket on both faces, eliminating the need for separate gaskets and reducing installation time. The stem is stainless steel 304, running in the GGG40 body with minimal friction, and the top works accept an ISO 5211 actuator pad should future automation be required. Operating temperature range is 0 °C to 90 °C, covering cold and warm water circuits.

The DIN 2501 wafer drilling is compatible with PN6, PN10, and PN16 flanged pipework in steel, ductile iron, and flanged PVC systems at DN125. The EPDM liner is suitable for potable water, pool water, raw irrigation water, and general service fluids within the 0 °C – 90 °C temperature range. The ISO 5211 top pad is compatible with standard quarter-turn pneumatic and electric actuators, allowing drop-in automation without body replacement. Do not use with oils, solvents, or aggressive chemicals incompatible with EPDM elastomers.
