Pentair Sta-Rite UltraFlow Plus locking clamp with roller for 5P2R / 5P4R pumps

This is the genuine Pentair Sta-Rite locking clamp and roller assembly (RC1937A) that secures the strainer pot cover to the tank body on the UltraFlow and UltraFlow Plus pump range. The roller (knob) threads the clamp band tight, compressing the cover against the pump body to form a watertight seal without tools. It is a direct OEM replacement for part number R39302800.

What this locking clamp does in the UltraFlow Plus

The clamp wraps around the joint between the strainer cover and the pump tank body. Tightening the roller draws the V-profile band inward, pulling both flanges together and compressing the cover O-ring. Loosen it to lift the cover for basket inspection or cleaning, tighten it to restore pressure containment. A worn or cracked clamp will not hold the cover under operating pressure, causing the joint to weep or blow open.

Cu ce modele UltraFlow Plus este compatibil

RC1937A fits the full UltraFlow Plus power range — 0.55 kW, 0.75 kW, 1.10 kW, 1.50 kW and 2.2 kW — in both single-phase (m) and three-phase (t) configurations, as well as the UltraFlow VS 1.10 kW. It is also confirmed for the Sta-Rite 5P2R, S5P2R, 5P4R, 5P6R, SW5P4R and SW5P6R pump bodies, which share the same strainer housing diameter.

Water seeping from the strainer cover joint at any pump speed is the first indicator. Inspect the clamp if the cover rattles under load, if the band shows visible cracks or deformation, or if the roller no longer holds tension after tightening — the thread can strip if the knob has been over-torqued repeatedly. Do not re-use a bent or cracked clamp band; the V-section will not seat evenly and the cover will not seal.

Cum se instalează

Switch off the pump and isolate the circuit. Unscrew the existing roller fully and remove the band from the groove. Fit the new clamp band into the groove around the cover-to-body joint, position the roller mechanism over the lug, and finger-tighten until the band is snug all the way round. Turn the roller a further half-turn until you feel firm resistance — no tools required. Restore power and check the joint is dry at full operating pressure.
