Manufactured from PE40 (medium-density polyethylene), this pipe offers good resistance to corrosion, chlorinated water, and soil chemicals — making it a reliable choice for buried or partially exposed outdoor installations. The black colouring provides inherent UV stabilisation for above-ground runs in sheltered conditions. The flexible nature of PE40 at this diameter eases handling during installation, allowing the coil to follow gentle curves without separate bend fittings.

Application scope

This pipe is well suited to cold-water duties such as pool fill supply, backwash discharge routing, solar panel feed and return (unheated side), chemical dosing supply lines, and perimeter irrigation fed from pool infrastructure. It is not recommended for heated pool return lines or applications where water temperature regularly exceeds 35 °C — for those duties a higher-grade PE80/PE100 or reinforced hose should be selected.
