This is the genuine Kripsol union fittings kit for the Koral KS pump family, supplying both the inlet and outlet connections in a single pack. Each kit contains two complete union assemblies at 50mm diameter, including the union bodies, threaded nuts, and O-ring seals required for a leak-free hydraulic connection to your filtration pipework.

What this union fittings kit does in the Koral KS

The union fittings form the mechanical and hydraulic interface between the pump body and the pool’s fixed pipework. They allow the pump to be disconnected from the installation without cutting pipe — essential for winter storage, servicing, or motor replacement. The O-rings within each union create the pressure seal; a deteriorated or missing O-ring at this point causes immediate water loss at the pump head.

Which Koral models it fits

This kit is specified for the Kripsol Koral KS and KSE pump range. The 50mm union diameter applies to KS and KSE models up to 1.5 CV — specifically the KS 33, KS 50, KS 75, KS 100, KS 150, KSE 50, KSE 75, KSE 100, and KSE 150. Check your pump nameplate before ordering: the 63mm union kit (ref. 500100256300) is required for higher-power variants.

Signs it needs replacing

Water weeping from around the union nut during pump operation is the primary indicator. You may also find the union body cracked or the nut thread stripped after repeated seasonal disassembly. Brittle or flattened O-rings — visible when you unscrew the union nut — no longer compress correctly against the pump port and must be renewed; this kit provides both replacement unions and fresh O-rings together.

How to install it

Shut off the pump and isolate the circuit valves. Unscrew the existing union nuts by hand — no tools needed on an intact fitting. Slide the new union nut onto the pipe before cementing the union tail if gluing to PVC, or thread it directly onto BSP-threaded pipe. Seat the O-ring into the union body groove, push the body onto the pump port, and hand-tighten the nut. Two unions, one per port, complete the installation. The full job takes roughly 20 minutes with no special tools.
