Flotide/MEGA / MEGA Pool Pump SC — exploded view & spare parts

This page provides the full exploded-view diagram and numbered bill of materials for the Flotide/MEGA / MEGA Pool Pump SC series, covering models SC050, SC075 and SC100. The SC series is a single-phase centrifugal pool pump range running from 0.5 hp (SC050) through to 1.0 hp (SC100), sold under both the Flotide/MEGA and the earlier MEGA brand name — the two names refer to the same product family. No additional factory part numbers are associated with this listing beyond the individual SKUs shown in the parts table. Use the diagram and the list below together and you will be able to identify the exact component you need within a few minutes.

How to use the numbered diagram to find your part

Every call-out number printed on the exploded-view diagram corresponds directly to a numbered row in the parts list below the image. Begin by locating the area of the pump where your worn or damaged component sits — for example, the strainer head, the wet end, or the motor end — then read off the call-out number closest to that component. Match that number to the same position in the parts table to find the description and, where available, the SKU you need to add to your basket. Bear in mind that some position numbers carry a letter suffix: positions 10a, 10b and 10c all share the same location on the diagram but represent three different impellers for three different motor ratings, and positions 16a, 16b and 16c do the same for the motor itself — so you must confirm your pump model before ordering either of those parts. Similarly, positions 21a, 21b and 21c are three distinct capacitors matched to each model. Also note that position numbers are not always consecutive: there is no position 20 or 24 in this diagram, so gaps in the numbering sequence are normal and do not indicate missing pages. Finally, a small number of positions in this diagram — including positions 7, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16a–c, 17, 18 and 19 — are listed for reference and identification purposes but do not currently carry an active SKU on this site; if you need one of those components, please contact us directly.

Main replaceable assemblies on the Flotide/MEGA / MEGA Pool Pump SC

The SC pump divides naturally into three main zones, each containing its own serviceable parts. The strainer head sits at the front of the pump and comprises the transparent lid (pos. 1) and its sealing O-ring (pos. 2), which together allow you to inspect the debris basket (pos. 3) without tools. The basket itself can be lifted straight out for cleaning. The union connections (pos. 4) are the threaded fittings that mate the pump to your pipework, and the drain plug with O-ring (pos. 5) at the base of the strainer pot lets you empty the housing for winterisation or servicing. The wet end is the hydraulic heart of the pump: the pump body (pos. 6, listed specifically for SC050–SC100) houses the diffuser (pos. 8) and its O-ring (pos. 7), and the impeller (pos. 10a / 10b / 10c depending on model) is retained by the impeller screw assembly (pos. 9). The mechanical seal (pos. 11) is the most commonly replaced wear item on any pool pump of this type, as it is the barrier between the water-filled wet end and the motor shaft; its companion O-ring (pos. 12) seals the flange (pos. 13), which is locked in place by the ring lock nut (pos. 14, SKU 7037553). The motor end houses the motor itself (pos. 16a / 16b / 16c), protected by the motor slinger (pos. 15), which deflects any water away from the motor bearings. The start capacitor (pos. 21a / 21b / 21c) is mounted in the cable box (pos. 19) and is a frequent replacement when a pump hums but fails to start. The cooling fan (pos. 22, SKU 7009296) and its protective fan cover (pos. 23, SKU 7009298) are at the very rear of the motor. Position 25 is a general-purpose O-ring specific to the Flotide/MEGA Pool Pump SC and is worth keeping as a spare if you service the pump regularly.

Choosing between variants and pack sizes

Several positions in this diagram carry lettered suffixes that indicate model-specific variants, and selecting the wrong one will result in a part that physically does not fit. For the impeller (pos. 10), you must match the letter to your pump model: 10a (SKU 7009322) is for the SC050, 10b (SKU 7009323) for the SC075, and 10c (SKU 7009324) for the SC100 — impellers differ in diameter and blade geometry between ratings, so they are not interchangeable. The same logic applies to the start capacitor at pos. 21: the SC050 requires a 14 µF capacitor (SKU 7010423), the SC075 a 20 µF unit (SKU 7010426), and the SC100 a 25 µF unit (SKU 7010427); fitting an incorrect capacitance will prevent the motor from starting correctly or may damage the winding over time. If you are unsure which model you have, check the rating plate on the motor housing — it will show the model designation (SC050, SC075, or SC100) and the motor’s horsepower and voltage. For O-rings and the drain plug, no lettered variants exist, meaning those parts are common across the SC050–SC100 range covered by this diagram.
