The Bermad C30 is a combination air release and vacuum breaker valve engineered for pressurised irrigation mains, drip systems, and water supply pipelines. In a single compact body it performs three critical functions: it expels large volumes of air during system fill, releases small air pockets under operating pressure, and admits air to prevent destructive negative pressure (vacuum) during system shutdown or pipe burst events. The glass-filled nylon construction delivers the corrosion resistance of engineering plastic with the mechanical strength needed to withstand 16 bar working pressure and temperatures up to 60 °C.
The two-part grey-and-black body houses an EPDM seal that remains resilient across a wide temperature range and is compatible with chlorinated water, making the C30 equally suited to agricultural irrigation, greenhouse drip networks, and potable water distribution. The 2-inch male BSP thread tail screws directly into a standard tee or saddle outlet on the pipe main, keeping installation simple and requiring no special tools. The angled air exhaust port redirects discharged air away from operators and equipment, a detail visible in the product design.

Compatibilitate
The C30 is designed for installation on pressurised water pipelines with a 2 inch female BSP threaded offtake. It is compatible with potable cold and warm water (up to 60 °C), chlorinated irrigation water, and fertigation solutions within EPDM’s chemical resistance limits. It is not suitable for compressed air service, oils, or solvents. Confirm thread standard (BSP/NPT) against your pipework before ordering.
