This is a genuine AstralPool replacement manifold arm (also known as a collector arm or lateral) measuring 1″ in thread diameter and 175 mm in length, supplied as a pack of 4 units. Manifold arms are critical internal components of pool sand filters: positioned at the base of the filter tank, they evenly distribute water through the filter media and collect it once cleaned before returning it to the pool circuit.

During the filtration cycle, the arms draw filtered water from the base of the sand or glass media bed. During backwash, pressurised water flows outward through the slotted arms to agitate and lift the filter media, flushing trapped debris out of the tank. A cracked or missing arm will compromise both filtration efficiency and backwash effectiveness, so timely replacement is essential.

Compatibilitate

These 1″ 175 mm arms are compatible with a wide range of AstralPool sand filters, including the High-Performance Rapid-Pool series (400–800), Aster filters, Berlin side-outlet filters (D.500–750), Vesuvio side-outlet filters (D.500–600), Corona filters (D.400–600), UVE filters, Alicante filters, and Europa filters fitted with 1″ arms. Using original parts also protects any existing filter warranty.

Instalare

Replacement is straightforward: drain and open the filter, unscrew the damaged arm(s) from the central collector hub, and thread in the new arms finger-tight before a quarter-turn with a suitable tool. Ensure the O-ring or thread seal on each arm is intact before reassembly. We recommend inspecting all arms in the set at the same time, as wear is typically uniform across the manifold.
