Signs it needs replacing

A noticeably reduced return-jet flow at the pool inlets is the clearest indicator. How to install it

Isolate the pump from mains power and close the isolation valves before opening the pump head. Remove the pump body bolts to separate the wet end from the motor, then unscrew the impeller from the motor shaft (left-hand thread on most Freeflo Racer models — turn clockwise to loosen). Slide the old diffuser out, fit the new diffuser, thread the new impeller onto the shaft, and reassemble in reverse order. Re-prime the pump before restarting. The full procedure takes approximately 20–30 minutes with standard hand tools.
