AstralPool – sand filter lid O-ring seal 600 mm

This is the genuine AstralPool replacement O-ring seal designed for 600 mm diameter sand filters. It seats between the filter lid and tank body to create a watertight, pressure-resistant seal, preventing leaks during normal filtration, backwash, and all other multiport valve operations.

Compatibilidade

Designed for AstralPool 600 mm (24″) laminated sand filters, including models in the Aster and Atlas ranges that use a screw or bayonet-style lid closure. Always verify your filter model and existing O-ring dimensions before ordering to ensure a correct fit. If in doubt, compare the part number against your filter’s spare parts diagram.

Por que a autenticidade é importante

A genuine AstralPool O-ring is manufactured to the exact diameter, cross-section, and rubber compound specification of the original, ensuring it seats correctly in the lid groove and withstands the filter’s maximum working pressure of 2.5 kg/cm² and temperatures up to 40 °C. Aftermarket seals of the wrong size or compound can swell, deform, or fail prematurely, leading to costly leaks.

Instalação

Before fitting, thoroughly clean the lid sealing groove to remove any dirt, calcium build-up, or old lubricant residue. Apply a light smear of silicone-based lubricant to the new O-ring — never petroleum-based grease, which can swell and damage the rubber. Re-seat the lid carefully and tighten evenly to achieve a uniform seal.
