AstralPool – Drain Plug for Alaska Basic Pump

This is the genuine AstralPool replacement drain plug for the Alaska Basic pool pump (parent SKU 69386), corresponding to position 7 in the official Fluidra exploded-view diagram. It seats in the pump body and provides a watertight seal during normal operation, while allowing the pump to be fully drained when needed for servicing or winterisation.

Removing the drain plug is the correct procedure to empty the pump body of water before a prolonged shutdown — particularly important in frost-prone climates, where residual water left inside can cause serious damage to the pump casing and internal components. Reinstalling a sound, genuine plug is equally critical to restore a leak-free seal before start-up.

Compatibilidade

This drain plug is designed specifically for the AstralPool Alaska Basic pump range (models 69383–69387, parent SKU 69386). Always verify your pump model number on the motor or pump-body label before ordering, as drain plugs from other AstralPool families may differ in thread size or material and are not guaranteed to be interchangeable.

Porque o Genuíno Importa

An OEM AstralPool drain plug is manufactured to the exact thread specification and material tolerances of the original pump body. Using a non-genuine or incorrectly sized plug risks cross-threading, leaks, or casing damage — faults that can be far more costly to repair than the plug itself. This part is supplied directly through the official Fluidra/AstralPool parts programme, ensuring full authenticity.

Instalação

Switch off and isolate the pump from its power supply before attempting any drain or plug work. Remove the old or damaged plug, allow the pump to drain completely, then hand-tighten the new plug firmly into the pump body — do not over-torque. Reinstall before priming the pump for the new season, and check for any seepage after the first run.
