The SwimClear Cartridge Filter – C200SE is a high-performance cartridge filter from Hayward’s SwimClear range. Unlike sand or DE filters, it requires no backwashing — reducing water consumption by thousands of litres per season while delivering finer filtration down to 10 microns. The large cartridge surface area means longer intervals between cleanings and consistently crystal-clear pool water.

The top-access design makes cartridge removal quick and straightforward, with no tools required. Simply lift out the cartridge, rinse with a garden hose, and reinstall.

Maintenance

When the pressure gauge reads 0.7–1 bar above the clean start-up pressure, it is time to clean the cartridge. Remove, rinse thoroughly with a garden hose from top to bottom, and optionally soak overnight in a cartridge cleaner solution for a deep clean. Replace the cartridge at least once per season or every two seasons depending on use.
