Davey – Crystal Clear Filter Body 150 sq ft

The Davey Crystal Clear Filter Body (150 sq ft) is the genuine OEM tank housing for the Davey Crystal Clear 150 cartridge filter system. It forms the structural core of the filter, containing the cartridge element and maintaining a sealed, pressurised environment for effective pool and spa water filtration. This spare part is the correct replacement when the original tank body is cracked, damaged, or otherwise compromised.

Compatibility

This body is designed for the Davey Crystal Clear 150 sq ft cartridge filter (model 39150), which delivers a maximum flow rate of 450 litres per minute. It is suitable for use with in-ground and above-ground pools, and is compatible with salt, mineral salt, and fresh water pools. CE-variant models feature unions sized for 50 mm European PVC pipe connections, making this part well suited to European installations.

Why Genuine Matters

Using the genuine Davey-branded filter body ensures a precise fit with all existing Crystal Clear 150 components — including the lid, cartridge element, and air bleed valves — preserving the system’s pressure rating and long-term reliability. The ABS tank construction is robust, UV-resistant, and corrosion-resistant, ensuring years of dependable service. Aftermarket housings may not meet the exact dimensional or pressure tolerances required by the Davey system.

Installation

The Crystal Clear filter body features two inlet ports, allowing inlet plumbing to be positioned at either 90° or 180° relative to the outlet for flexible installation. Barrel unions are hand-tightened with no sealant, glue, or silicone required. Installation or replacement of the filter body should be carried out with the pump off and the system fully depressurised; professional installation is recommended if you are unfamiliar with pressurised pool filtration systems.
