Rated to 30 bar and 120 °C, this compact 40 mm brass adaptor bridges a 3/8″ male BSP thread on one end to a 13 mm hose tail barb on the other — making it a reliable transition fitting for pool chemical dosing lines, filter bypass circuits, and ancillary pipework wherever a threaded port must accept a flexible hose. The barbed tail grips the hose securely, minimising the risk of slip-off under working pressure.

Machined from solid brass, the body resists corrosion in chemically treated pool water environments and handles continuous working pressures up to 30 bar — well above what any pool circulation or dosing system demands. The 120 °C maximum temperature rating also makes it suitable for heat-pump ancillary connections and heated-water circuits.

The 3/8″ male BSP thread is tightened with an 18 mm spanner, allowing controlled torque application without risk of over-tightening. At just 40 mm in length, the fitting sits neatly in confined equipment cabinets and plant-room pipework, and pairs with standard 13 mm bore flexible hose secured by a hose clamp (not included).

This size is commonly used on chemical dosing pump outlets, pressure gauge ports, and bypass manifolds on filter vessels and heat pumps. Its compact form and high-pressure rating make it a go-to transition fitting for installers working with both rigid and flexible pipework in the same circuit.
